In the Workshop: Pastel Green Bay Windows & Extra Large Frames for Mayfair
1st September 2025

It’s been another lively week in the workshop, with two very different but equally exciting projects on the go. One involved giving a set of bay window frames a striking lime green spray finish. The shade might not be everyone’s first choice, but once applied, the result was sharp, vibrant, and full of character, proof that bold colours can completely transform traditional joinery.

Alongside that, we’ve been busy constructing an impressive set of oversized custom window frames destined for a property in Mayfair. These large-scale pieces call for an extra level of accuracy in both joinery and handling, but they’re shaping up beautifully. Every frame is built to precise specifications, ready to add a sense of grandeur to a prestigious home.

From colourful finishes to large-scale bespoke projects, no two weeks in our workshop are ever the same and that’s exactly how we like it. If you’ve got a unique idea in mind, we’d love to hear about it. Get in touch today and let’s make it happen.

Box Sash Window Overhaul & Repairs – Deer Mews, London, E3
25th May 2025

This week took us to Deer Mews in London, where we carried out a full overhaul and draught-proofing on a traditional box sash windows, along with essential restoration to keep it strong and compliant with conservation standards.

We began with a complete sash overhaul: rebalancing, oiling, and fitting discreet draught-proofing strips to improve efficiency and put an end to those unwanted chills. The original sill had unfortunately deteriorated beyond repair, so we crafted a new hardwood replacement, carefully matched to blend seamlessly with the property’s period design.

To strengthen the frame, we used a resin repair to stabilise a weakened section, sanding it smooth before undercoating. Traditional conservation joints were also employed throughout the process, helping us preserve the window’s authenticity while meeting heritage requirements.

The finished result is a beautifully restored sash window that looks and functions as it should, now protected for many years to come. Working in London’s historic settings is always rewarding and if your sash windows need the same level of care, we’re here to help with expert conservation joinery and repairs.
